Will it damage the metal underneath?
Laser cleaning targets the contamination rather than cutting into the surface, which is why it suits detailed and valuable parts. That said, the right settings depend on the substrate, so on anything sensitive, polished or unknown we run a small test area first and show you the result before we carry on.
What can it actually remove?
Rust and oxidation, paint and coatings, carbon and soot, oxide layers, adhesive and rubber residue, weld heat tint, and dry surface contamination on metal. Heavy grease usually needs a wipe down first.
Do I have to bring the part to you?
No. The service is mobile, which is the point of it. We come to your workshop, factory, site, farm or property and work where the asset already is.
How do I get a price?
Send a photo or a short video of the surface with a rough idea of the size. That is usually enough for an indicative number. For anything larger we do a site assessment or a test clean before quoting a fixed price.
Is laser always better than sandblasting?
No, and we will say so. On large open surfaces with good access, blasting is often faster. Laser is worth it on detail work, on parts you cannot afford to damage, and where the media, the dust and the cleanup afterwards are a bigger problem than the cleaning itself.
What do you need from us on the day?
Safe access to the work, and anything we should know about the site before we start. That means hazardous materials, electrical hazards, confined spaces and any site specific risks.
Which areas do you cover?
Gauteng is our core service area. We do travel further by arrangement, and travel outside the standard area is quoted at R7.50 per kilometre return from the agreed dispatch point.
